I hate life. More correctly termed, I hate life as of now, that is my subjective experience of life.
When people say why is life is shit, the common response is get used to it. What the actual fuck. What society has raised us to think like this? To think that we have given up and despair.
Especially Westerners are fond of the saying ‘Life isn’t fair.’ Then, they end in snide triumphant: ‘So get used to it!’ What a cruel, sadistic notion to revel in! What a terrible response to a child’s budding sense of ethics.
What we should do is say and ask why life isn't fair. And response that we should make life fair!
We live on front porches and swing life away,
We get by just fine here on minimum wage
If love is a labor I'll slave till the end,
I won't cross these streets until you hold my hand
